Racetrack Harrow Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment (tractors, water trucks, etc.)
  • Perform regular surface maintenance, including harrowing and watering of training track
  • Maintain track safety, footing consistency, and drainage systems
  • Conduct facility repairs and assist with grounds upkeep
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow scheduled routines
  • Work in coordination with facility management and training staff
  • Assist with handling horses if needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience required with heavy equipment operation
  • Previous work at a thoroughbred training or racing facility
  • Familiarity with racetrack footing types and maintenance protocols
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Availability to work overnight and/or very early in the morning

Comprising 350 acres, Oak Ridge Training Center is divided into 14 lots of 20 acres to form a professional equine community ideal for training racehorses. At its heart, 40 acres are devoted to a world-class one-mile dirt track and newly installed 7/8 mile Celebration Bermuda turf course.
